Welcome to Manor Primary School & Nursery.

I feel incredibly proud to be the Headteacher of Manor and to work alongside such wonderful children, families and staff. Ours is a school with a long and proud history at the heart of the Didcot community, and whilst much has changed since Manor first opened its doors, our commitment to providing the very best education and care for every child remains the same.

At Manor, we want every child to feel happy, valued and excited to come to school each day. We believe children achieve their very best when they feel a strong sense of belonging and know that the adults around them genuinely care about them. Building positive relationships with our pupils and their families is incredibly important to us, and we see education as a partnership between home and school.

Our values of Ready, Respectful and Safe underpin everything we do. We encourage children to be ready to learn, embrace challenges and make the most of every opportunity. We teach them to be respectful of themselves, others and the diverse world around them. Above all, we strive to ensure that every child feels safe, supported and confident to be themselves.

We have high expectations for all our pupils and are passionate about helping every child discover their strengths and talents. Through our ambitious curriculum, enriching experiences and caring school culture, we aim to nurture children who are curious, resilient and confident learners. We want our pupils to leave Manor not only with strong academic foundations, but also with the character, values and self-belief needed to flourish in the next stage of their education and beyond.

One of the things that makes Manor so special is our community. We are proud of the rich diversity of our families and believe that every child should feel seen, heard and represented. We celebrate differences, learn from one another and create opportunities for children to develop empathy, understanding and respect for others.

As part of GLF Schools, we benefit from being part of a wider family of schools, working collaboratively to ensure the best possible outcomes for all children. This allows us to share expertise, learn from one another and continually improve what we offer our pupils.
