House System

Every child and member of staff belongs to one of our four houses, named after inspirational people with a link to Didcot.

Throughout the year, we hold house events and competitions, providing opportunities for children to represent their house and contribute towards its success. At the start of each school year, Year 6 pupils can apply to be a House Captain, Deputy or Prefect and the successful candidates then lead their house for that year.

House Captains also lead our School Council and Deputies lead our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors.

Having the opportunity to contribute to their house is something that all Manor children aspire to and provides them with leadership and teamwork skills for the future.

	Named after Sir Frank Williams (16 April 1942 - 28 November 2021) who was a British businessman, racing car driver and the founder of the Williams Formula One team. In 1977 Sir Frank set up Williams Grand Prix Engineering in Didcot.
	Isambard Kingdom Brunel (1806 - 1859) is celebrated as an engineering genius. Brunel designed the Great Western Railway, a 116 mile line between Bristol and London. Works started on the line in 1836. Our school was built in 1839 as a result of the Great Western Railway
	Named after Mrs Skryme, the first Headteacher of Manor Primary School in 1839.
	William Bradberry (11 July 1776 - 11 August 1860) was an entrepreneur. He was the first person in England to cultivate and sell watercress. He was born in Didcot. You can visit the Watercress Beds in Ewelme, near Didcot.
